Competitor Pricing Research

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Where do you find competitor pricing information on telecommunication services? Some are ILECs and can't find a database on tariffs, etc. Some are CLEC's and can't find any published information. Thanks.

I've spent quite a bit of time over the past couple months researching CLECs and VoIP carriers, and I was not able to find any recent and accurate source of demographic info (e.g. sales, # of employees) or competitive data. (The FCC has comprehensive lists of carriers, and does collect quite a bit of info, but publishes very little of it).

I've ended up building my own lists using Google searches.
One fun place to check are the state public utility commissions, which try to help consumers understand and evaluate competing offers. If you find a magic source of info, let me know. Good luck.

    Have you tried CCMI.com

They are an information provider and have a huge telecommunications database. You can contact the president of the company George David and tell him I sent you his way.

    Good luck,

Thanks Telemoxie, I am doing the same thing.

John, LOL, I did think of doing that very thing but we have such a wide range of circuits to ask for they'd know in a second.

Ani, thanks for the feedback. I'll check into it and let George know.

Thanks for all the great feedback.
