Does more and more people buy over the web and what's
about the future.

Selling on the web is a channel of mail order. Just like direct mail, infomercials, or catalogs are mail order channels. The mediums evolve, but the basic process is the same. You are selling at a distance. Words and images are your salesman. And orders are placed remotely. And the goods are delivered by common carrier.
