Survey Over Facebook

Hi all! What do you think to make a survey over facebook? I would try to find out how people would behave in different situations. Do you think the response would be usefull?

    One issues will be whether the respondents are representative of what you are trying to find out. if your goal is to find out how facebook users behave, then it could be reasonably representative. But if your goal is to find out how retired people behave, it will be pretty un-representative.

    The question that needs to be answered is, what is the purpose of the research? Also, how and where are you going to use it? Without those answers it is hard to give you an answer.

    Steve M is correct. Until you have a meaningful objective for the research, it's pretty much a meaningless question. As part of stating the objective you might want to think about the expected use of results. What will you do differently when you have the information from the research.
