Affiliate Program For Canadian Market Only?

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
We are an small company in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. We provide online event registration solution for event planners to accept registrations and payments online.www.gobigevent.com

We have low budget on marketing dollars. I have tried Facebook marketing but it didn't work too well since we didn't know how to draw people to there.(https://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/Edmonton/Go-Big-Event-Simple-Onli...)

I think Affiliate Program might work for us since it is cost per sale. The goal is to increase client base since it is usually a long-term relationship once they sign up with us. Therefore, we don't mind giving away 5%-10% of our sales for affiliate program (average sales size: $500-$2500). The problem is that I haven't been able to find an event management website that both uses affiliate program and has mostly Canadian readership. Any suggestion what we can do?

I think Phil's got the right idea here. Start out by trying a more traditional channel that's easier to track your success. Your potential market should be relatively easy to find -- create a flyer, postcard or letter highlighting the benefits of your company--send it out to a list (from your own research or rent one), follow up with a call. Even if they say no, each conversation will give you more information to make the next call better. Commit to making it work, take small steps and tweak as you go along. Do more of what works (and you can see what that is) and less of what doesn't.

Feel free to contact me if you want more info or to discuss a plan of action. No strings, I'm not a consultant, just love what I do. --Jen
