Autoresponders - Are They Necessary?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I usehttps://www.automateyourlist.aweber.comfor all of my requirements. Not only does it allow me to generate lead capture pages very easily with drag and drop simplicity, it also stores unlimited email addresses and allows unlimited email followups which of course I use for product marketing campaigns. Does anyone use this service or any like it? And if so do you see a good ROI? as I do with mine.

Best wishes Mark (UK)

    Dear Mark,

Many marketing people don't like Aweber. I've been using their auto responder now for about six months and I'm very happy with it. My list is small but growing and I send out a weekly newsletter, from which I receive good feedback.

True, there ARE other list management systems and I may switch at some point as my needs change. But generally I'd say yes, if you have a list of people you communicate with on a regular basis, you really ought to consider investing in an auto responder.

The answer to your question "Autoresponders - Are They Necessary?" is, in my opinion, no. Not necessary, but a tool in your toolkit. Specifically, I think of autoresponders as a service that sends out emails based on various triggers (every few days, for example).

AWeber is one of the companies that does a good job of ensuring people double opt-in for the mailing list, and make it easy to unsubscribe. That means that delivery rate of emails in your list is high and unlikely to be flagged as spam.

I've used AWeber for some clients' projects with good results.

This kind of looks like clumsy advertising of the mentioned website. It's OK, don't get me wrong, we are all marketing professionals over here. Just could be a little bit more elegant.

Autoresponders in my opinion - here I agree with Jay - are not necessary.

But it was a good try, Mark :)
