New Freelance Company Name

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
I am planning on opening my own freelance marketing business however, I can't think of a name. My name is Radhika so I can't possibly put that in the title, no one will remember it. Any one please suggest some good names tha would also be seo/sem friendly.
- rrmarketing?
-marketingndesign?

those are just a few names I thought of which would also be interesting to keep for a logo design.

I would really appreciate any suggestions and ideas!

~Radhika.

Don't worry if your name is or is not SEO/SEM-friendly. Worry if the name is human-friendly, if it conveys something of what you do for your target market.

So, who exactly are you targeting? Where are they located? What problem of theirs do you solve (better/differently than anyone else)? What's your magical "edge"?

One shouldn't start with a name hoping that it'll provide all the magic to make your business a success. Start with a marketing/business strategy to better understand your future market, and pick a name that's attractive to them.

I think Jay's on the money when he suggests you determine who you most want to sell and what sets you apart from the competition.

I understand that sometimes as professionals we get mental blocks for what we do best for others. Outlining your goals and objectives on paper (or on screen) should help you come to an effective idea for a name.

I agree with the comments that knowing what you specialize in would help us suggest a name. One option would be to go with a name that helps describe your marketing specialty.

But, using your name isn't necessarily bad. If you check the names of the top KHE Experts on the list in the right, you'll see that many are using their own names and presumably are successful.

Thank you to everyone! Yes, so far I am sticking with RRMarketingStudios. It has my initials and also the objective of my business strategy.

    Does it sound catchy enough?

"Studios" makes you sound more like a film maker or a graphic designer. Is that what you do? If not, you might want to reconsider that designation.

how about just RRMarketingnDesign? Yes, this will be a place for logo design as well so it can be mentioned like that, correct?
