Regarding the first suggestion (by Marshall and Tod), there's a first edition and a second edition. Because things change so fast, the second edition is more up-to-date, but the first edition is much easier to understand if you're just getting started. Net: I use both versions, depending on what I'm trying to learn.

There are also a number of very good online seminars here in the MarketingProfs Seminar Archives://www.369da.com/marketing/library/seminars/. You might consider getting a PRO membership just so you can devour them without having to worry about incremental pricing. (It's an all-you-can-eat buffet with several 5-star seminars.)

I started so noob and just read topics in forums. Learned a lot from Internet Marketing topics (facts about boosting serps, etc) and How-to's (how to earn 1k twitter followers and monetize from it, etc) and tips from other marketers who's earning big figures already. My personal favorite is watching a 'journey' thread -- like "My quest in marketing 300 autoblogs" etc where the poster daily updates it in whats happening with him, statistics, methods, etc :)

I also google topics but i found forums more effective :) Try BlackHatWorld or Warrior Forum.
